Instructions
Yarn is Wool-Ease Thick and Quick

Chain 4
connect to first chain and create a circle with a slip stitch
hdc 3 in each of the 4 chains created to create a total of 12 stitches
slip stitch the round closed
chain 1
2hdc in the first chain, then hdc 1 in the next chain and repeat.
slip stitch round closed
chain 1
2hdc in the first chain, then hdd 2 in the next 2 chains and repeat.
slip stitch round closed
chain 1
hdc in each stitch all the way around and continue around until desired length is reached.

Use size K hook for smaller newborn and make 5 inches long
Use size L hook for average newborn and make 5.5 inches long
Use size N hook for small infant and make 6 inches long.

*These are general sizes. You may have to play around with the sizing for a perfect fit. Always go larger rather than smaller since newborn babies grow so fast, they will fit into it in no time.
